Hilarious HelloFlo Ad Is the Only Good Thing About Periods

When they say fake it 'til you make it, they rarely mean your period.

In HelloFlo's new two-minute spot called "First Moon Party," a young girl who is tired of waiting for a visit from Aunty Flo decides she can just fake it with a bottle of her finest red glitter nail polish. (It's basically the same thing as menstruation, anyway.)

Then comes her mother's "First Moon Party," which includes bobbing for ovaries, uterus piñatas and vagicians (soon to be all the rage on Pinterest).

But luckily for the traumatized girl, HelloFlo period start kits exist. So when her real time of the month comes around, she'll be prepared with actual tampons instead of a super pack of coffee filters.

The ad serves as a hilarious followup to last July's "Camp Gyno" ad, which amassed more than 7 million YouTube views. The viral video was so successful, it reportedly helped HelloFlo take off as a legitimate business venture.
