LG has announced the global rollout of its G Pad 10.1 tablet, starting with the U.S. later in July.
Originally announced in May 2014, the G Pad 10.1 is the largest among the company's G Pad tablets.
The G Pad 10.1 has a 10.1 inch, 1280x800 pixel screen, a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and a 5-megapixel camera on the rear, coupled with a 1.3-megapixel one on the front. The device runs on Android 4.4.2, and it sports a beefy, 8000mAh battery.
On the software front, many of the features introduced with the company's flagship smartphone, the LG G3, are present. These include Dual Window mode, which enables users to run two apps at the same time in a split-screen mode, and Smart Keyboard, which LG claims can reduce input errors by up to 75 percent.
The LG G Pad 10.1 will arrive in the U.S. "later this month," followed by other markets, including those in Europe, Asia and Latin America. Pricing has not been announced.
