Australia Embraces #TimCahilling After Striker Tweets Shock Over Brazil's Loss

Australia didn't exactly kick the ball out of the park at this year's World Cup, but Socceroos striker Tim Cahill has taken to thrashing Brazil on Twitter.

With one hand covering his mouth and eyes wide open, his expression says it all:

What. A. Shocker.

Brazil's 7-1 loss to Germany was an absolute wipe-out, with the latter scoring five goals in 29 minutes. At this devastating moment, Cahill expressed what the world was thinking รข€" and then Twitter started buzzing.

Within minutes #timcahilling became more popular than a German in Rio. Soon, all of Australia began #timcahilling around, with the hashtag trending on Twitter in the country as of Wednesday. Check out a sampling of tweets, below:
