Game Boy is 25 years old, but that doesn't mean we can't bring it back via new technology. DIY tech site Adafruit posted instructions on how to create your own pocket-sized portable with the help of a 3D printer.
The "Gamegirl" uses a Raspberry Pi computer to run an emulator with Nintendo classics. Adafruit cut up a Super Nintendo controller to retrieve the circuit board for the systems buttons, and it's all packaged inside a 3D-printed case.
The project also includes a rechargeable lithium ion battery, a big improvement from the original Game Boy that ran through AA batteries before you could get to Bowser's castle. It also has a SD card slot so you can run various games.
The video above shows how the Gamegirl is built.
