Just a few days after the first batch of Android Wear apps hit the Google Play store, developers have added their own software for Google's collection of new smartwatches.

Surprising no one, the first smartwatch gaming app to hit the platform is Flappy Bird â€" that is, a knock-off of the popular, addictive mobile game.

First spotted by TechCrunch, an app called Flopsy Droid bring's a flying version of Google's Droid mascot to the pipe obstacle.

Last week, Google Play rolled out a collection of apps that work with Android Wear-capable smartwatches, such as the LG G Watch and the Moto 360. Apps that were available out of the gate include PayPal, Soundwave, Pinterest, Lyft, AlltheCooks and food delivery app Eat24.

Flopsy Bird comes from a third-party developer â€" one of many who have created Flappy Bird-inspired games over the past few months â€" although this is the first clone available for smartwatches that we know of.

After the creator of Flappy Bird mysteriously pulled the game from the Google Play store and iOS App Store earlier this year, it ignited a flurry of second-rate spin-offs. It's been since reported that the creator will eventually bring Flappy Bird back to mobile in a version that's "less addictive."
