The next Battlefield entry will be a competitive cops and robbers game, a far cry from the military-focused franchise, Electronic Arts confirmed late Monday.

Battlefield Hardline was detailed on EA's blog after details were leaked online. The game is being developed by Visceral, known for the Dead Space series, instead of by the typical developer DICE.

A seven-minute trailer with the codename Omaha, which leaked Tuesday morning, has since been made private on YouTube. It shows off multiplayer modes where players can be law enforcement or the criminals trying to evade them and boasts a single-player mode that focuses on a drug cartel and police corruption.

More details about the game will be revealed at E3 at its presentation on June 9. Battlefield Hardline is expected to come out "this fall."
