Don't let anyone tell you that that getting older means you need to be confined to the sofa, watching infomercials and snacking on prunes all day.

These senior citizens are proof that age ain't nothing but a number. In fact, these grandmas and grandpas may even be more active than you. Do you play hockey or do insane yoga headstands? Well, they do.

So take inspiration from these awesome grandparents. They are still completely rocking it, even if they qualify for a senior citizen discount.

1. Hockey-Playing Grandpa.

Ben Shaw is a 73-year-old grandfather who spends his retired life participating in all his favorite pastimes, including hockey. He says, "We don't stop playing because we grow old. We grow old because we stop playing." How's that for your inspiring quote of the day?

2. Running Grandparents at Sports Day

All of these grandparents deserve a big round of applause from their grandchildren. See how fast they're running? Plus, ball-pushing relays require speed and coordination.

3. Juggling Grandma

This British grandmother has been seen throughout London, in places like Trafalgar Square and Notting Hill, juggling up a storm. It's pretty impressive, no matter what her age.

4. Senior Citizen Soccer Coach

Fred Van Dongen has coached soccer for more than 50 years, and he has no intention of stopping. He told the Winnipeg Free Press, "I stay active. You can’t help looking old, but I can hold my own with most of the players. I’m lucky that way."

5. Awesome Xbox Kinect Playing Grandma

Who said video games aren't active? This 80-year-old grandmother gets really into her kickball game on the Xbox Kinect, with a level of ferocity previously unseen by mankind.

6. The Granny Yogi

Australian grandmother Bette Calman has been teaching yoga for more than 50 years, and she still practices with ease. Her favorite moves are shoulder stands and headstands. Um, can you do either of those?

7. Rock-Climbing Grandfather

Showing no signs of vertigo, this Korean grandpa scales cliffs with ease. Amazing.

We've seen a lot of dancing grandma videos in our time, but she gets down low ... pretty low.
