Walmart unveiled its gangbuster Black Friday promotions, undoubtedly to compete with Amazon's 10-minute sales blasts.
"Black Friday is our Super Bowl and we plan to win," Duncan Mac Naughton, chief merchandising and marketing officer of Walmart U.S., said in a statement, summing up big-box retailers' Game of Thrones-style approach to bargain shopping.
Starting now, the retail behemoth is offering pre-Black Friday deals in stores and online. Walmart's official Black Friday events will take place at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving and at 8 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 29. The retailer plans to offer one-hour guarantees on certain items, and is promising to match the prices of competitors such as Target and Best Buy.
Among the tech goodies on offer, you can snag the iPhone 5C for $45, the Xbox One gaming console for $499 or a pair of Beats By Dr. Dre Solo headphones for $114.95 (prices online have not been updated to reflect these sales).
