20 TV Shows With the Most Social Buzz This Week

This week in television was all about singing, football and cartoons. Oh, and vampires and zombies.

FOX’s popular vocal competition The X Factor dominated the broadcast TV social rankings in predictable fashion, as it has virtually all season. This week it drew in more than 4.6 million mentions on social media, a slight improvement over last week’s impressive score.

NBC‘s talent search, The Voice, also finished high on the charts, but nowhere near The X Factor. Another FOX show, Glee, jumped to sixth place on the broadcast social chart, perhaps buoyed by this week’s cover of Psy’s YouTube viral hit “Gangnam Style.”

Popular cartoons The Simpsons and Family Guy rounded out the broadcast list, along with this week’s NFL games. And apparently no one told the creeps and monsters that it’s December, not October, because The Vampire Diaries and the midseason finale of The Walking Dead also took a big bite out of this week’s social rankings.
