This week in television was all about singing, football and cartoons. Oh, and vampires and zombies.
FOXâs popular vocal competition The X Factor dominated the broadcast TV social rankings in predictable fashion, as it has virtually all season. This week it drew in more than 4.6 million mentions on social media, a slight improvement over last weekâs impressive score.
NBCâs talent search, The Voice, also finished high on the charts, but nowhere near The X Factor. Another FOX show, Glee, jumped to sixth place on the broadcast social chart, perhaps buoyed by this weekâs cover of Psyâs YouTube viral hit âGangnam Style.â
Popular cartoons The Simpsons and Family Guy rounded out the broadcast list, along with this weekâs NFL games. And apparently no one told the creeps and monsters that itâs December, not October, because The Vampire Diaries and the midseason finale of The Walking Dead also took a big bite out of this weekâs social rankings.
