Swire Hotels' Hong Kong establishment, The Upper House, is entirely paperless. It uses iPads for guest registration, concierge services and payment processing. But the tech isn't just for the hotel staff â€" as a guest, you'll find an iPod touch in your hotel room, as well.

The Aria Las Vegas uses RFID (radio-frequency identification) to improve your stay. When you flash your key over the lock reader for the first time, the RFID will part the curtains and turn on the TV, so you can choose your settings.
